Holden VF released

The much anticipated Holden VF Commodore has arrived, signalling a pivotal point for locally manufactured vehicles.

Holden have taken the ‘more is more’ approach with the range, up speccing the whole range with class leading gizzmos and gadgets in the hope of re-igniting the poor sales performance of the Commodore and large cars in general.

HOLDEN’S entry level VF Commodore Evoke V6 now uses less fuel than an entry 2.3-litre Ford Mondeo four-cylinder. It can also be started remotely, host online music streaming, send and read text messages aloud and park itself  (with some assistance).

Other vehicles in the range have colour head-up display, a forward collision alert system, lane departure warning, a blind-spot monitor and a clever reverse traffic alert.

Holden says the new VF is easily the most advanced Australian-made car to date and boasts many creature comforts found in imported cars which have been increasing their market share of late.

For many reasons, this is a car to watch.
