StreetFleet (head quartered in South Australia) has announced its acquisition of longstanding Melbourne-based competitor Alliance Fleet.
Alliance Fleet was established more than 25 years ago and has a strong market presence in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and ACT. The acquisition bolsters StreetFleet’s presence in Victoria with additional staff from Alliance joining StreetFleet’s Melbourne team-based team. The company now employs 25 staff with most based at its Adelaidehead office. The transaction also sees StreetFleet’s assets under management rise to over $150 million.
StreetFleet National Manager James Ehmann said that Alliance Fleet’s impressive and diverse client base adds significant value to StreetFleet’s national growth ambitions.
“Alliance Fleet has a long history in the fleet management sector with clients across several states and industries, particularly the Sport & Recreation and Healthcare sectors where we have been working to obtain a bigger market-share,” explained Mr. Ehmann.
“We set out several years ago to strengthen our presence on the east coast organically, and whilst we have had great success in this regard, this will be the first of other acquisitions as we are building the economies of scale to be more aggressive in achieving our growth targets,” added Mr. Ehmann.
StreetFleet is a OneSMG company. Formally called the Smith Motor Group, One SMG recently celebrated its 100th year anniversary and is one of South Australia’s longest standing businesses. James Ehmann is also a director of One SMG.
“Alliance Fleet have a reputation for personalised service delivered by very experienced, long-serving staff and this aligns very much with the Street Fleet and One SMG approach to customer service,” added Mr. Ehmann.
